Internet Text Message
Most internet text message systems use a similar interface for sending a free SMS mobile message:
- Enter the telephone number

- Type a character-limited message (typically 225 characters)
- Hit send
When the mobile phone user receives the text message, he or she can hit "reply" and send back a text message that appears as an email in the sender's mailbox.

Using a free email to SMS system is just as easy, but requires one additional detail: the name of the cell or mobile phone carrier used by the recipient. Once the sender knows this, the email address becomes "[10digitnumber]@carrier.com". If the mobile message goes to an AT&T subscriber, for example, the email address would be:
5552221234@att.com
The sender simply types this into the email program of choice and sends an online text message, using a limit of characters (225 or so). The recipient receives this email as a text message on their mobile phone, and can reply back via text, with the sender receiving the online text message as an email.
